392-Year-Old Bonsai Tree Keeps On Growing Planted In 1625 Has Survived Hiroshima

If you have ever owned a Bonsai tree, you will probably know how delicate they are. If you do not give it the care and attention, it requires then it could die over night. There are extreme measures you can take to revive a dying Bonsai tree, but most of the time it does not make it. This remarkable Bonsai tree has survived nearly 400 years and was planted in 1625. It has also survived the Hiroshima bombings which killed 140,000 people.

The Bonsai tree is currently housed at the United States National Arboretum, Washington District of Columbia. It was gifted to the Arboretum by Masaru Yamaki in 1976 to help preserve the tree for future generations. The Bonsai continues to grow till today, if the bonsai tree could then it would tell us a lot about history.
