A police officer arrested a nurse after she was doing her job and following protocol. The police officer from Salt Lake City, Utah, abused his power and demanded the blood of a civilian. The nurse stated that he had no warrant and the patient was not wanted or was under arrest for any criminal activity. Under the hospital protocols, she was not allowed to hand over blood unless the patient gave consent, which he couldn’t as he was unconscious.
The nurse would have lost her job and sued by the civilian if she handed over blood without a warrant. The police officer got annoyed and decided to start bullying the nurse, so he could get what he wanted. The police officer has been put on paid leave until a further investigation is carried out.
