Sri Lankan naval officers were confused when they see a large lump in the water. Wondering what it could be they approach with caution, and are all left speechless when they see what it was. It was an elephant 10 miles from the shore and it was having a hard time keeping its head above the water. They began by putting a rope around the elephant to keep it from sinking and donned scuba gear. They were able to drag the elephant back to shore safely. The wildlife preserve official examined the elephant before releasing it and explained that explants do float despite their size.
