Being a foster child can be extremely difficult because you have to change everything you know, your family, friends, home and even your personality. When children go into foster homes no one stops to think what process the child is going through, and if any of the children react badly in the home they are put in they are automatically assumed to be a badly behaved child.
But the question is why? Why do children have to change everything about themselves and create a new identity? Why do they still have to see the bad and dark times when they are told that those days are over? Some children mix in well and adapt very quickly but for those who can’t, they feel emotions that non-foster children or adults have never felt before. This video gives a foster child’s perspective on life.
