Woman Rescued A Dying Bald Eagle From A Bear Trap Gets Arrested

No-one likes animal cruelty and often when we see an animal suffering people speak out. Thanks to the power of social media, people are now speaking out about animal cruelty and contacting animal rescue groups directly through social media.

During Christmas Eve Kathleen Adair was walking through Davies Creek Trail in Juneau, Alaska. During her path, she came across a bald eagle on the group gasping for air. She first thought the eagle was tired and taking a nap, but when she got closer she saw the eagle was stuck in a bear trap/

Instead of just leaving the poor majestic creature alone, she acted quickly and decided to help the iconic eagle and set it free. She said the eagle did not fear her and waited patitenly when it was freed.

In Alaska it is illegal to mess with another hunter trap, she was arrested when the news reached authorities. She could face up to 30 days in prison and a $500 fine. The bear trap’s owner was contacted and it is up to him if he wants to pursue and additional legal charges.
